Job Description:

COMSATS Internet Services (CIS), Pakistan's pioneer ISP, invites applications from qualified and experienced candidates, for appointment on contract basis against the post of General Manager (Admin & HR) for Corporate Office, Islamabad. Details of the position and placement are as under.


Job Responsibilities related to Admin & HR:



  • Develop, implement and monitor overall HR strategies systems, tactics and procedures across the organization aligned with the overall business strategy

  • Ensure optimal utilization of available human capital and alignment of its output with the company’s goals and objectives through career progression, training and development.

  • Supervise and lead all HR function including recruitment & Selection, performance management, job rotation, promotions, leave management, succession planning, payroll management and generating positive learning organizational culture & discipline in the company.

  • Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs

  • Enforces management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures to strengthen merit, transparency and fairness in all areas of human resources.

  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues by bringing anomalies to the authority.

  • Liaison with Govt. Departments and Ministry for the compilation, circulation and dissemination of required information.

  • Assist and report the higher management in administering the affairs of the company in accordance with company's policies, instructions of authority and contracts according to all applicable laws.

  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. 

  • Supervising day-to-day operations of the administrative department 

  • Developing, reviewing, and improving administrative systems, policies, and procedures.

  • Planning and coordinating administrative procedures and systems and devising ways to streamline processes.

  • Supporting employees by facilitating interdepartmental communications and interactions between internal and external parties.

  • Planning, scheduling, and promoting office events, including inter departmental, BOM meetings, conferences of official nature in consultation with concerned officials, interviews, hotel arrangements and training sessions.

  • Ensure collecting, organization and storing of information using computers and filing systems.

  • Ensuring office is stocked with necessary supplies and all equipment is working and properly maintained.

  • Monitor inventory of office supplies and the purchasing of new material with attention to budgetary constraints

  • To supervise all the tasks related to correspondence of files of Admin department in respect to repair, maintenance, insurance cases, and rental cases of company’s office/tower/POPs. 

  • To coordinate health benefit by managing staff health insurance such as liaising with insurance company, processing staff medical claims etc

  • Ensures a safe, secure, and well-maintained facility that meets environmental, health, and security standards.

  • Finalization of tender documents with detailed TOR and scope of work for hiring of organization for services through competitive bidding.

  • Oversee procurement process as per the organization Rules and general practices of procurement.
