Job Description: |
- We are looking for an astute and hands on professional who has good exposure of the tourism sector in Pakistan.
- She/he should be well-traveled to the various regions within Pakistan and driven to convert the existing and new attractions, on a continuously evolving basis, into commercially viable products for business growth within the established corporate vision and commercial objectives.
- The candidate should have the attitude and business communication skills to sell and manage premium and luxury tourism services to a high-income segment and mature audience that are expecting an elevated experience in hospitality with professionalism.
- A proactive candidate who can take initiative and responsibility on the following:
Key areas to deliver:
- Develop customer growth and retention with domestic and foreign inbound tourists through direct retail, B2B, online, e-commerce and social marketing platforms.
- Construct customized tour packages and entire trip itineraries in coordination with our territorial channel partners.
- Communicate, handle, and manage sales bookings for our customers with hotels, transport providers, business vendors, and channel partners in line with the established commercial policies and the minimal grievance targets.
- Based from Karachi, to centrally manage the provision of all booked tours across all territories, via our contracted channel partners throughout the period of all engaged and performing trips.
- Assist the country head in initiating and maintaining contacts with new vendors and partners.
- Proactively build a strong network of contacts across the provincial markets. This includes tour operators / guides, hotels and accommodation providers, restaurants and retail spaces, attraction sites, and leisure activity providers.
- Keep an administrative central check on all direct billings, payments, and receipts with customers, hotels, and associated channel partners.
The ideal candidate should have the below requirements:
- A recognized university degree and/or MBA qualification with fluency in written and spoken English.
- At least 5 years of sales and operations experience including leadership role in dynamic work environments, in the travel, tourism, or hospitality sector with demonstrated successful track record.
- Well versed with the 5 A's of tourism business in developing destination packages targeting domestic and international traveler markets.
- A willing traveler, if required, with tourists to ensure customer satisfaction as well as product improvements. Possess good knowledge of tourism rules and regulations and that of legal and security requirements for the tourism spots in Pakistan.
- Excellent interpersonal and business communication skills, possess the gravitas to influence and work well with customers and B2B stakeholders.
- Be social media savvy, with its professionally utilizing knowledge in a corporate and marketing environment.
- This includes and not limited to Facebook & Whatsapp for Business, Youtube, Twitter and Linkedin.
