We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor for our 6 to 8 months project of piping project carrying out MEP take-off works.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Topo Survey:
• Perform topo survey including preparation of level sheets and contours.
2. Land Measurements:
• Measure land features, including depth and shape, utilizing established reference points.
3. Record Verification:
• Research and examine previous land records, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
4. Mapping & Reporting:
• Prepare detailed maps and land reports, providing comprehensive findings to clients and potential contractors.
5. Documentation:
• Create and maintain accurate records of survey results for reference and future use.
6. Boundary Measurement:
• Accurately measure land boundaries to establish clear demarcations.
7. Land Sustainability Assessment:
• Evaluate and make recommendations on the suitability of land for desired builds or projects.
8. Equipment Management:
• Purchase and maintain the required equipment for effective survey operations.
9. Infrastructure Execution:
• Coordinate with engineering team during execution of Infra works.
• Provide levels during sewer lines installations.
• Provide demarcation of plots as per approved MLP.
10. Guidance & Support:
• Provide guidance and support to field staff, including junior surveyors and estimators.
11. Client Interaction:
• Conduct site visits for clients, potential land buyers, or developers, explaining key survey points and addressing inquiries.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in quantity take-offs, cost estimation, or BOQ preparation.
- Experience across civil and MEP disciplines (earthworks, concrete, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.).
- Proficiency in digital take-off software such as: PlanSwift, Bluebeam Revu, AutoCAD, or On-Screen Takeoff (OST).
- Understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and shop drawings.
Ability to prepare accurate BOQs, quantities, and material lists for:
- Civil: foundations, slabs, masonry, etc.
- MEP: piping, ductwork, conduits, cable trays, etc.
- Familiarity with measurement standards (e.g., CESMM, POMI, NRM).
- Competent in Microsoft Excel, especially for compiling and summarizing take-offs.
